Classified Positions


To assign new classified positions to a classification and to review and, where appropriate, change the classification of existing positions follow these steps:

1. Consult with Human Resources

2. Prepare a Supervisor Cover Memo 

3. Prepare an updated Organization Chart 

4. Update the Position Description and attain signatures 

5. Submit a Request for Job Audit form with the Supervisor Cover Memo, Organizational Chart and Position Description attached

6. When a Request for Job Audit form reaches Human Resources, it will be assigned to a team member who will be in touch regarding next steps.

MSUAASF (ASF) Positions

To assign new ASF positions to a salary range and to review and, where appropriate, change the salary range of an existing position follow these steps:

1. Consult with Human Resources

2. Prepare a Supervisor Cover Memo 

3. Prepare an updated Organization Chart 

4. Update the Position Description and attain signatures 

5. Submit a Request for Job Audit form with the Supervisor Cover Memo, Organizational Chart and Position Description attached

6. When a Request for Job Audit form reaches Human Resources, it will be assigned to a team member who will be in touch regarding next steps
