WSU Security Staff


Staff of the Winona State University Security office are responsible for the physical security of all residence halls, academic buildings and grounds throughout the university.

Campus Security employs three full-time staff members; all have extensive backgrounds in law enforcement. Full-time personnel have a combined 75 years of law enforcement experience along with numerous hours of law enforcement and security related training.

In addition, Campus Security is staffed with approximately 60 student security guards. Students attend mandatory training in conflict resolution, first aid, patrol tactics, crime prevention, community policing, self-defense, and more.

Campus Security communications personnel are responsible for dispatching and receiving calls for assistance, monitoring surveillance cameras, distribution of crime prevention material and assisting the campus community with their needs.
