Internships
The Health, Exercise & Rehabilitative Sciences (HERS) Internship Program provides significant experiential learning opportunities valuable to a student’s professional development.
Through cooperative planning and implementation in partnership with the internship site the HERS Department requires the following internships for eligible degree candidates:
- Public Health – HERS 496: 10 credits
- Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation – HERS 497: 8 credits
- Exercise Science – HERS 499: 8 credits
The Internship Handbook (PDF) is designed to help HERS students with the procedural aspects involved in successful acquisition and completion of the internship experience.

Practicum
The HERS Practicum Program provides significant experiential learning opportunities valuable to a student’s professional development. The field experience provides a means of reinforcing and enhancing academic preparation.
