Tammy Bartz


Tammy Bartz recently joined the WSU faculty teaching Applied Horn.

Her education includes Bachelor of Science degrees in Vocal Music, Instrumental Music, and Elementary Education from the University of Mary in 1994. In 2008, she completed a Master of Arts in Education from Walden University. And most recently, she graduated with a Master of Music from Kent State University in 2020.

In addition to Adjunct Horn Instructor for WSU, Tammy is Adjunct Horn Instructor for Saint Mary’s University, Winona, and has been teaching music for Houston Public School District since 1994.

Her performance experiences include Assistant Horn of the La Crosse Symphony, La Crosse Brass Quintet, Winona Symphony, LaSalle Woodwind Quintet, Quintessence Woodwind Quintet, as well as soloing with the Saint Mary’s University chamber orchestra and performing with various university, chamber, and symphonic ensembles in the tri-state area.
