Digital Learning Commons (DLC)

The eWarrior Digital Learning Commons (DLC) is a team of dedicated WSU student technology and resource specialists that helps other students feel comfortable using their mobile devices and related technologies.

We provide basic technical support, student training (both JIT and personal sessions by appointment), Media Color Printing Services and custom classroom support.

WSU Technology Knowledge Base (Wiki)

WSU Technology Knowledge Base (Wiki) is a great resource with information customized specifically for WSU students, faculty and staff.


LinkedIn Learning

LinkedIn Learning gives WSU students access to a library of over 2,000 online courses taught by industry experts covering a wide variety of software tools and skills, as well as topics related to leadership, business, photography and other areas. Lynda courses are available 24:7 from your laptop, tablet, or smartphone.

eWazoo is a program focused on creating conversations and providing information about WSU technology. eWazoo has social media accounts on Twitter and Instagram and is updated regularly with posts to engage students in a conversation about their mobile devices.

DLC STARS are available to help with classroom projects as directed by faculty members. We can create custom WSU Technology Knowledge Base (Wiki) help documentation or hold workshops as needed.

STARS and faculty members working together on technology content allows WSU students to get customized training for their class projects. Examples of recent custom trainings are a WordPress Overview and iMovie basics. 

Cricut Maker 3

The Cricut Maker 3 is a powerful easy to use craft machine that can cut, draw, score, and many other things to create fun, creative projects. It works with Design Space software which is an easy-to-use design application. Examples of what it can do include personalized stickers, 3d designs, layered designs, vinyl decals, and vinyl signage. You can use the Cricut to create cool stickers, cards, and other materials for clubs and courses. 

Students, faculty, and staff may come to the DLC in Krueger Library to use the Cricut. You will receive training and just be charged for the cost of materials and color printing if needed.

Request Appointment

This machine may be used by appointment. You can come in anytime between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm Monday through Friday. To request an appointment email mediaprojects@winona.edu. Put "Cricut Machine" in the subject line. Please include the following information in your email:
  • What will you be creating?
  • How many will you be making?
  • What materials and colors will you need ( we supply materials at cost)?
  • When would you like to come in?
  • Have you used a Cricut before?
You will be contacted shortly afterwards to setup a time convenient for you to come in.

Payment must be made with purple pass or cost center

When you come in someone will get you started and show you the design software if you have not used it before.
