Climbing Center
The WSU Climbing Center is one of the largest university climbing walls in the Midwest and features:
- Nearly 6,000 square feet of climbing surface
- 32 top ropes
- 2 bouldering walls up to 14ft tall
- Belay ledge
- Traditional climbing anchor practice wall
Not just for WSU students, the Climbing Center is open to everyone in our community who is interested in rock climbing.
Participation Waiver
Before participating in any climbing activities, you must fill out and print a Climbing Wall Participant Agreement.
All participants under 14 years of age are required to have a parent or guardian present to use the climbing facility.
Please bring a printed copy of this form to the Climbing Wall Center.
Rates
You can purchase day passes and memberships online.
All climbing wall sales are subject to MN state tax of 7.375%.
Day passes are $10 or $15 with equipment rental.
An individual membership starts at $50 per month, or bulk packages ranging from $130 to an annual memberships for $380.
Family memberships are also available starting at $75 for children and $200 for adults.
Group Climbing Policy
If you have a group of 8 or more climbers, you'll need to email oerc@winona.edu to schedule the time and session.
This is to ensure we have enough staff present and are able to properly manage risks during climbing sessions.
