The Applied Linguistics major consists of 40 credits.

You'll learn the theory and practice of language teaching and complete coursework and projects in grammar, the history of language, and second language acquisition.

You'll also complete coursework and projects in language study, grammar, the history of language, and second language acquisition, and pedagogy.

You’ll also have flexibility in this major to explore your personal interests through elective credit.

Additionally, many of our students choose to double-major or minor in a foreign language or another program in English.

This allows you to tailor the program to your interests and career goals.
