Program Admission

To register for upper-level Business courses, you must be admitted to the College of Business. This applies to all Business students, regardless of their major or minor.

Haven’t officially declared a Business major or minor yet? Your first step is to submit the online declaration/change of major or minor form.

College of Business Admission Requirements

To be admitted to the College of Business, you need to meet specific criteria. These include:

  • earned 30 credits or more at the time of application
  • have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 (minimum)
  • completed the following courses with a grade C or better:

Communication Studies
CMST 191 or CMST 192
Economics ECON 201 or ECON 202
English ENG 111
Math Choose one (3 credits required):
  • MATH 110
  • MATH 112
  • MATH 115
  • MATH 120
  • MATH 140
  • MATH 212
Note: Math requirements vary by Business major. Any of the Math courses listed will be used for College of Business admission.
Statistics ECON 222 or STAT 110 or STAT 210

Note: Statistics requirements vary by Business major. Any of the Statistics courses listed will be used for College of Business admission.

Not a Business major or minor but want to take Business courses? You can do so during your junior year and with instructor permission.

Transferring in? You'll need to meet particular requirements as a transfer student to be eligible for program admission.

Apply to the College of Business

Provisional admission will allow you to pre-register for upper-level Business courses while you are completing the admission requirements for the College of Business.

To apply for provisional admission, complete the College of Business application on WarriorSpace. This application will roll over to a full admission application once the provisional period has passed.

If not granted admission prior to the beginning of the next semester, you will be dropped from upper-level Business courses.

Please allow about two weeks processing time.

You will receive an email confirmation once you have been admitted. Also, your DARS will reflect your new major or minor on eServices.
