Athletic Training Master of Science
3+2-Year Program
Winona State University offers a 3+2 degree option for students entering WSU as first year students or qualified transfers. This option allows students to complete both an undergraduate degree and a professional graduate program in Athletic Training (with successful acceptance) in five years.
Students must understand that this program option is accelerated and that in order to be successful, students must be uniquely motivated to complete all requirements in the time provided.
Students within this option will be allowed to apply for the graduate program during the fall semester of their junior year (3rd year). With admission to the MSAT program students will begin graduate coursework during the summer between their 3rd and 4th year.
Following the completion of their 4th year, students will be conferred a bachelor’s degree in Exercise & Rehabilitative Sciences: Movement Science.
Students not admitted into the MSAT program from the 3+2 option will have a seamless transition into a B.S. degree in Exercise & Rehabilitative Sciences as the program was designed using the same academic core.
Freshmen entering WSU who are interested in this five-year professional option will declare both Movement Science (ERMS) and Pre-Athletic Training (PRAT) as their academic majors. It is important for both to be identified so your academic advisor can appropriately guide you in this accelerated professional program.
