The KEAP Center

The KEAP Center (Knowledge, Empowerment, Advocacy and Pluralism) works in partnership with the Office of Equity and Inclusive Excellence to create a safe space and an inclusive atmosphere for diverse people, organizations and groups.

This includes people with issues related to:

• Race, Ethnicity and National Origin
• Gender
• Age
• Religion and Beliefs
• Ability Levels
• Economic Status
• Gender and Sexual Identity

A number of student clubs and organizations promote diversity, inclusivity and equity.

Student Senate

The WSU Student Senate is the governing body of the Winona State University Student Association, acting as the recognized voice and bargaining unit for all students at Winona State University.

Student Senate is also responsible for appropriating budgets to student clubs and organizations as well as responding to student concerns in and out of the classroom.

Warrior Success Center

Warrior Success Center provides free and accessible services and resources for student success including Career Services, Advising Services, Access Services and Tutoring Services.

Schedule an appointment to meet one-on-one with an advisor about majors and careers that are best suited to your unique interests, strengths and goals.

Access Services

Access Services provides academic accommodation services to students who have documented disabilities or impairments to help student succeed. These services include alternate test-taking spaces, extended exam times and note-taking support among others.

WSU-Rochester students have all the same access resources and can request accommodations in their classes at WSU-R.

Advising Services

If you haven't decided on a major yet, Advising Services can help you narrow down your options and find the program that sets you up for a successful and fulfilling career. Advisors can also help you understand your GPA and academic status and teach you strategies for academic success in your classes.

Tutoring Services

Tutoring Services provides free services to help you meet your academic goals by providing outstanding free academic assistance, including tutoring and a Supplement to Instruction Program (S2I). Tutors can help you understand material in a course and help you become an independent learner.

WSU Writing Center

College writing often requires a mix of academic language, research knowledge, argument and personal expression. If you are struggling with the demands of college-level writing or simply want to improve as a writer, take advantage of the WSU Writing Center.
