Regulatory Compliance

The Environmental Health & Safety Department maintains and/or coordinates various safety and environmental compliance programs for the University, including, but not limited to:
  • Employee Right-to-Know
  • Bloodborne Pathogens
  • Personal Protective Equipment
  • Confined Spaces
  • Lockout/Tagout and Electrical Safety
  • Fire Extinguishers
  • Hazardous Waste
  • Respiratory Protection
  • Compressed Gas Safety
  • Ergonomics
  • Indoor Air Quality
  • Risk Management and Insurance

The written safety programs provide the framework from which training sessions and work practices are based. Programs are updated, expanded, or otherwise edited whenever the need arises. At a minimum, all written programs are subject to a documented annual review. Any changes made to the programs are communicated to affected employees during future training sessions.
