Master of Science in Education (MSED)

The Master of Science in Education (MSED) program is a online program that allows P-12 teachers and educational professionals to advance in their careers. The MSED program is comprised of an Education Core of 15 graduate credits paired with graduate credits from the certificate described below:

Curriculum & Instruction

The Teacher Preparation Collaborative program is a two-year program for individuals who hold a bachelor's degree to become middle school and high school teachers in one of the following licensure areas: Business, Chemistry, Communication Arts & Literature, Earth Science, Life Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Social Studies. Students selected to participate in the TPC program will complete teaching pedagogy coursework and a full-time teaching internship during the first year and additional coursework the second year.

Program Highlights

  • Earn your MS degree in 6-7 semesters (includes summer session).
  • Courses consist of online learning to accommodate working professionals.
  • Online learning is synchronous (together, in real time) and asynchronous (time and place are irrelevant).
  • Faculty members are accomplished professionals with experience in the field.

Admission Requirements

  • Baccalaureate degree with a 2.75 GPA from an accredited institution.
  • Application form, two letters of reference, current resume, and a written personal statement.
  • The GRE is not required.
