Graduate Induction Program

Beginning in 1986, Winona State University and Independent School District 535 have been joint participants in a Graduate Induction Program for grades K-6 in the Rochester, MN Public Schools.

The program is designed to assist Rochester residents who are inexperienced teachers with challenges unique to entry into the field of education.

Residents complete a Master of Science in Education through a sequence of course work and field components. K-5 residents are placed in elementary school settings. Residents assigned to a sixth grade are at a middle school site.

The Graduate Induction Program is open to students with a K-6 Elementary Education license.

This program is currently not accepting new applications.
