Internships

Internships provide a way for students to gain real-world experience and earn credit that can be applied toward their degree at the same time.

Although you're ultimately responsible for locating your own internship and negotiating terms, the Marketing Department provides its majors with constant updates regarding new internship opportunities.

Before beginning an internship, you must:

1

Meet Eligibility Requirements

You're eligible to take three internship credits to fulfill the requirement for a Marketing Practicum if you:

  • are in good standing with a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
  • have completed three 200-level and above Marketing courses

You may earn and apply up to nine additional internship credits toward general university graduation requirements.

2

Get Department Approval

The next thing you'll need to do is meet with the Marketing Department Chair to review your internship eligibility, gain approval of your internship, and complete the Internship Application (PDF).

3

Submit Your Application

Once you've completed your internship application, submit it to the Dean’s Office.

Internship applications will not be retroactively accepted.
