What happens when you're awarded a grant?

First, the cost center for payments related to the grant is set up by the WSU Business Office. Students and their faculty sponsor manage this cost center.

The cost center will be held open for one fiscal year beyond the award year. After that, unused funds will return to the Student Grants cost center.

Check out examples of past student research and presentations in OpenRiver, a digital repository for scholarly and creative projects of WSU and southeast Minnesota.

OpenRiver collections are coordinated by the Darrell W. Krueger Library, and the specific collection for Grants and Sponsored Projects includes student projects dating back to the 2012-2013 academic year.

Students often present their grant-funded research at the Ramaley Research Celebration in the spring.
