Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program

The Clinical Mental Health Counseling master’s program prepares students for careers as professional counselors in public and private community counseling settings such as:

  • community mental health agencies
  • social services agencies 
  • residential care facilities

Students who successfully complete the Clinical Mental Health Counseling coursework are eligible to become Licensed Professional Clinical Counselors (LPCC) in Minnesota and Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC) in Wisconsin.

Licensure

The Counselor Education programs are accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP).

Students are prepared for exams and requirements to earn clinical mental health counseling licensure after they graduate.
