Children’s Center Student Employment 

Students in the Teacher Education Licensure programs can gain hands-on experience through employment in the Children’s Center. 

Staff Qualifications 

We ensure that all staff members have the necessary skills and experience to work in the Children’s Center.

Each classroom team is led by a highly qualified lead teacher licensed by the state of Minnesota. Additional team members include:

  • Graduate assistants
  • Student staff
  • Student teachers, field experience, interns and practicum students pursuing degrees related to working with children

The WSU Children’s Center provides staff and students with a complete mandatory background check, finger printing and DHS-approved orientation sessions prior to having contact with children in the classroom.
