How do I purchase a meal plan?

All meal plans can be purchased through the WSU Housing Office which is located on the second floor of Kryzsko Commons, contact 507.453.5305.


What is the cost of a Residential Meal Plan?

Meal plans range from 7-19 meals per week and the cost varies accordingly. See the current meal plan rates.

What is the information on the front of my Warrior ID?

  • Card holder's name
  • Warrior ID number (eight-digit number)

What is the information on the back of my Warrior ID?

  • Magnetic Stripe
  • PALS ID - 14 digit number for all Library Services
  • Card information

What does the Magnetic Stripe do?

The magnetic stripe on the back of your Warrior ID identifies who you are and is programmed to be used at our cash registers for point of sale transactions to purchase products and services on campus. The same Magnetic Stripe can be programmed for activity tracking and events, equipment check in/out, attendance, and more.

What is my PALS ID?

On the back of your WSU Warrior ID, under the bar code is your PALS ID number. This is a 14 digit number that is used for Library Services at the WSU Library.

How should I take care of my Warrior ID?

Follow these simple tips to save the life of your Warrior ID:

  • Keep your Warrior ID card in a protective card sleeve or card holder with lanyard, or wallet at all times.
  • Do not punch holes in your Warrior ID card. This breaks the internal antenna inside the card for Security Door Access.
  • Do not allow your Warrior ID cards magnetic strip (on back of card) to be scratched by keys, coins or other objects.
  • Do not apply stickers to your Warrior ID card.
  • Keep your Warrior ID card out of direct sunlight and away from other heat sources such as clothes dryer.
  • Due to cold weather in our area, keep your Warrior ID protected from outside elements.

What should I do if I lose my card or it is stolen?

If you need to request a replacement Warrior ID card, please visit the Campus Card Office in Maxwell 233. The office hours are 8am-4:30pm.

If you use Library services, notify the Circulation desk (1st floor) that your card was stolen because you could be liable for books checked out under your card.

If you setup a GET Funds account, you can lock your card online right away if it's been lost or stolen. Be aware that if you lock your card or report it stolen, you will not have access to your Meal Plan, Kryzsko Cash or Purple Pass funds. Please see the Food Services window in Kryzsko 220 to request a temporary eating pass for Meal Plans.


What is the cost of a replacement card?

The cost of a replacement card is $20. You can pay cash, check, credit/debit card by visiting the WSU Cashier at the Warrior Hub.

Bring your receipt into the Campus Card Office in Maxwell 233.

If you prefer to be billed on your tuition, the cost is $22 and this can be completed while you are requesting your replacement card.

How long does it take to request a replacement card?

We print your replacement card on demand and usually only takes 5-10 minutes. We will offer you a chance to update your photo at the same time.

Block plans are a type of meal plan that is available to all students, faculty and staff.

A block plan offers convenience and flexibility as you can use it to purchase meals at a variety of campus locations including Zane's Food Court, Somsen Cafe and Caribou Coffee and Einstien Bros. Bagels in the Krueger Library.

What is Purple Pass?

You can take advantage of your WSU Warrior ID to use it like an internal debit card through Purple Pass. Just deposit money on your card to start using it to purchase internal products and services throughout our WSU Campus Community.

Purple Pass is your own fund of money and a declining balance account. You can make deposits online via GET Funds with no fees. Your Purple Pass funds will transfer over semester to semester and year to year.

You can reload your Purple Pass account whenever it is convenient for you. There are no fees if you use a guest account to make a deposit to a student, faculty or staff member's account.

However, you cannot take cash out of your Purple Pass account. If you leave WSU, we reimburse your Purple Pass balance or apply it towards tuition if you prefer. Stop by the Campus Card Office in Maxwell 227 for a Purple Pass refund.

How do I deposit money to my Purple Pass account?

There are three options to deposit money in Purple Pass:

  • Create an online GET Funds account or use the GET Funds - Guest Deposit to add funds to your Purple Pass account. You can also access your account balance via the GET Funds mobile app.
  • Visit our Cashiers at the Warrior Hub to make a Purple Pass deposit. Cash, checks, credit/debit cards are accepted.
  • Pick up a “Purple Pass” envelope at the Campus Card Office or the Cashier’s window in the Warrior Hub and mail in your deposit.

If you leave WSU we reimburse your Purple Pass balance or it can be applied towards tuition.

Purple Pass can be used at any of the Dining Service locations, the WSU Bookstore, for color printing and copies from Media Services, the Library, all vending on Campus, and Warrior Entertainment Network for all ticket sales and special events. Discounts and promotions offered at all locations.

Dining Dollars is a fund of money that you automatically receive when you sign up for a residential or block meal plan. Dining Dollars can only be used at Chartwell Dining Service locations.

Dining Dollars is good for Fall and Spring semesters, and you must use your balance by end of April or you will lose it.

What is Dining Dollars?

Dining Dollars is a fund of money that is included when you purchase a Meal Plan. Dining Dollars give you the flexibility to eat at other Dining Services locations, if you do not choose to eat at the main Dining Centers.

Each time you purchase food items, snacks or beverages, this is deducted from your Dining Dollars balance. Your Dining Dollars are tracked on GET Funds.

Does my Dining Dollars transfer into the following semester?

Dining Dollars balances now transfer from fall semester to spring semester. Be sure and use your Dining Dollars funds up before the end of the school year or you lose the balance of funds in your account.

Dining Dollars does not carry over into the summer.
