Master of Science in Athletic Training

Graduate Program Entry Options


3+2 Year Program

Students interested in Athletic Training can enter WSU as a freshman and complete both a Bachelor's of Science degree in Movement Science and a Master's of Science degree in Athletic Training in just five years with the 3+2 Year Program.

This is an accelerated program of study that allows students to save time and money while completing an entry-level professional healthcare degree.

2 Year Program

Graduate students who have already completed their bachelor's degree can earn their master's degree in Athletic Training through the 2 Year Program.

Students will enter the MSAT program during the summer and complete the two-year academic and clinically focused program in two years.

  • WSU’s Athletic Training program curriculum meets state educational requirements in the states/jurisdictions of: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming, and District of Columbia.
  • WSU’s Athletic Training program curriculum hasn’t been determined to meet state educational requirements in the states/jurisdictions of: California and Texas.
