The Master of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT) program at Winona State University is currently accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE), 6850 Austin Center Blvd., Suite 100, Austin, TX 78731-3101.


Board of Certification Pass Rates

95+% Pass the First-Time since 2009 (14 graduating classes)

WSU students have been very successful in passing the Board of Certification (BOC) examination on the first attempt since the program’s inception.

This data is an outstanding indicator of the strength of the program and the quality of the healthcare professionals that graduate from Winona State University with a degree in Athletic Training.

Over the past 14 years (2009 - 2023), we have achieved a 95+% first-time pass rate, with 143 out of 150 students passing the exam on their first attempt.

Students should feel confident that the Winona State MSAT program will prepare them for initial certification and to excel in their professional career.
