WSU offers many resources and services to support your success and help you navigate the challenges college brings.

Students have access to a wide variety of free academic support services at WSU. Advising Services supports students with registering for classes, selecting majors and overcoming academic challenges.

They can also connect you with services for writing skills, tutoring and career planning, just to name a few.

Provides comprehensive support to first generation students, low-income students and students with disabilities with the goal of helping them reach graduation.
Tutoring Services
Offers free academic assistance to all students through one-on-one and group tutoring sessions. Tutoring sessions are typically led by peer-student tutors.
Writing Center
Helps students master college-level writing by providing guidance on ideas and organization. Writing Center tutors will also review grammar rules with you.

The Achieve program provides free academic coaching tailored specifically to your needs. Your Achieve coach can help you build the knowledge and skills needed to overcome common challenges faced by college students including issues with:

  • time management and distractions
  • college stress and motivation
  • major exploration
  • study skills
  • and more
